My wife, Karen, is an accomplished abstract and abstract landscape oil painter. Four of her paintings have been chosen by the US State Department’s Art in Embassies program (established by JFK) over the past six years and exhibited alongside works by selected artists from around the world. I keep telling her I am super proud; I’m pretty sure she realizes I mean it! The attached photos show the latest exhibition catalog with commentary from the US Ambassador to Cameroon, Christopher Lamora. If I were healthy, we’d fly to Cameroon to visit the country, the ambassador, and Karen’s painting!
I’m back to writing ambitiously. If you’ve read my memoir or first novel, then you might recognize these words I’ve used and likely will again: ersatz, hustings, eviscerate, obsequious, inure, sycophant, insouciance, fecundity. I’ll release more in future postings, a few at a time – words are fun.
