Before my amazing wife somehow took the bait and entered my realm, she was a concertgoer at the famous Alpine Valley outdoor venue, forty-five minutes from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, where she spent summers and hung out with her besties. Lake Geneva is a magical place, and I’m jealous of anyone who gets to spend extended time there – or even just a weekend. But sailing or waterskiing in the morning and later watching Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Supertramp, The Doobie Brothers, Bread, America, Heart, and other groups live at sunset and late into the evening surely made for memories lasting a lifetime. For anyone who played teenager in the ’70s, reading about carefree summers and rock ‘n’ roll should paste a smile on your face.
