The Kindle Unlimited page reads for my psychological thriller, Eagle Bay, exploded five days ago and have maintained/grown since then and will probably exceed 70,000 pages by tonight. I wish I had a handle on what triggered the flurry of reading, but I’ll be honest and say I’m a bit in the dark. That said, I hope it’s a unique and engrossing story worthy of 70,000 page reads. Dark at times, but hey, Thomas Westbrooke is a brilliant, complex, and psychotic prodigy! What did you expect? And Skye evolves into a worthy adversary! Anyway, feel free to cross your fingers that the surge in readership for Eagle Bay continues!
The Emerald Cross, my second thriller, is being formatted by Christine at the Book Cover Whisperer. Just wait until you see what she created, not just for the cover (which you can see by clicking on the Amazon pre-order link) but also for the internal formatting! Good stuff!
So, one of my front teeth – those critical two teeth in the upper middle portion of your mouth! – has inexplicably decided to die. Great. Actually, this isn’t totally unexpected, I must admit. The tooth got injured in my youth (or playing rugby in college?), and twenty years ago, my dentist told me it would die soon. I made it twenty years! Now I need to get a four-tooth bridge or an implant. I opted for the bridge because getting my two front teeth to match – one real and the other an implant – is next to impossible, I think. Thus, we now get to grind down three other perfectly good teeth to make the stupid bridge! I know, I know, you want me to stop whining.
Have an awesome weekend! I hope to write at least a couple more chapters of Doheny Drive before Monday arrives!
Cheers from the stunning Sonoran Desert,
Ken Cruickshank
